echochamp returns with a covers compilation in support of The Trussell Trust food bank network, and whilst some of the contributors have never made music outside of the bedroom, others have been forced back in.

Beneath the formal demands of a covers compilation, it’s no surprise that there’s an added layer of attentive nostalgia at work here. Sometimes tongue-in-cheek, often heartfelt, these fourteen tracks float adrift in peculiar waters, as we wait patiently to get back into those dark, crowded rooms together.

Collaborating online during lockdown, the echochamp collective and its alumni have been able to record their versions of misty-eyed classics, alternative darlings, and otherwise more contemporary picks for your enjoyment, with all proceeds going to charity.
